Virginia Restaurant, Lodging & Travel Association announces finalists for 2025 Ordinary Awards
RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- The Virginia Restaurant, Lodging & Travel Association (VRLTA) has announced its full list of finalists for the 2025 Ordinary Awards.
The event will award individuals a businesses across 24 categories. The following Richmond area nominees are among this year's finalists:
- The Estate at River Run, Maidens -- nominated for Attraction of the Year
- The Commonwealth Hotel, Richmond -- nominated for Hotel of the Year
- The Quirk Hotel, Richmond -- nominated for Hotel of the Year
- John Devany, Sports Page -- nominated for Bartender of the Year
- Small Country Campground, Louisa -- nominated for Campground of the Year
- Ronald Logan, Sr. The Original Ronnie’s BBQ -- nomintaed for the Jim Wordsworth Award for Restaurateur of the Year
- Dennis Bickmeier, Henrico Sports & Entertainment Authority -- nominated for the Charlie Buser Award for Attraction Employee of the Year
- Leah Branch, The Roosevelt -- nominated for Chef of the Year
- David Dunlap, Midlothian Chef’s Kitchen & 1870 Restaurant -- nominated for Chef of the Year
- Susan Jenkins, Shula’s American Kitchen -- nominated for Restaurant Manager of the Year
- Bryant & Stratton College, Richmond -- nominated for Hospitality Hero - Business
- Andrew Ruffin, Delta Hotels Richmond -- nominated for Hotel Employee of the Year
- Amtrak Virginia, Richmond -- nominated for Supplier of the Year
- Barboursville Vineyards, Barboursville -- Winery of the Year
“The caliber of nominations we received this year was truly outstanding, making it no easy task to narrow down the list of finalists,” said Eric Terry, President of VRLTA, in a statement. “No matter who takes home an award in September, this year’s finalists represent the very best our industry has to offer.”
The awards dinner will be held on Monday, Sept. 8, at the Richmond Downtown Marriott.
