No information is available on the fatal crash as of reporting. Police continue to investigate.
Virginia State Police urged drivers to stay off the roads throughout Sunday and into Monday. If drivers must travel, police said they should give trucks and emergency crews with the Virginia Department of Transportation room to do their jobs on the road.
Motorists should also remember that the winter storm could impact and delay emergency response times to stranded vehicles.
