Virginia Task Force 2 continues rescue efforts in N.C.
VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) -- The Virginia Beach Fire Department continues to provide updates on the heroic efforts being performed by the Virginia Task Force Two US&R after Hurricane Helene devastated much of the country. The task force continues to conduct primary searches in southern Mitchell County, NC, as well as boat operations. The team is working to complete all primaries in the next day or two. They will then coordinate with Mitchell County to determine which areas to concentrate secondary searches on.
