Virginians wager more on sports betting this March over last March
RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Virginians spent more on sports betting this March than they did in March 2024, according to the Virginia Lottery.
On Thursday, May 1, the Virginia Lottery released a report on sports wagering activity at licensed operators during March 2025. During that month, Virginians wagered a total of $689,662,004 when sports betting.
This is 8.5% more than Virginians wagered on sports betting in March 2024.
As far as winnings go, Virginia's bettors won a combined $638,986,760. This makes for a 7.35% operator win percentage.
