Washington Commanders to finally make appearance in popular HBO docuseries
WASHINGTON (WRIC) -- The Washington Commanders will appear on the popular HBO docuseries "Hard Knocks" for the first time ever.
On Wednesday, May 21, HBO and the NFL jointly announced that the focus of the upcoming in-season version of "Hard Knocks" will be the NFC East, according to a Commanders press release.
The Commanders, the Philadelphia Eagles, the Dallas Cowboys and the New York Giants will all make appearances in new episodes.
"Hard Knocks" first aired in 2001 and, until now, has yet to feature the Commanders or the Eagles. The Giants and the Cowboys have both made previous appearances.

"The decision by the NFL and HBO to feature the NFC East, which has not had a repeat winner since 2004, is the latest example of the Commanders getting more room in the national spotlight," the Commanders said in the release.
The new season will air in December.
