Weather University: A look at wildfires and pollen counts ahead of spring
RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- In this week's episode, StormTracker8 meteorologists Matt DiNardo and Jacqueline Waters discussed weather phenomena to watch out for in the coming weeks ahead of spring.
With 17 days till spring, the pair started by looking at the Richmond region's outlook for spring. In regards to pollen, the meteorologists highlighted the following seasons:
- Tree pollen: Now through mid-May
- Grass pollen: Early May through mid-June
- Weed pollen: Ragweed mid-August through killing frost/freeze
