What was Virginia’s top selling alcohol in ABC stores for 2025?

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Tito's Handmade Vodka is the top selling spirit at Virginia Alcoholic Beverage Control Authority (ABC) stores for the eighth year in a row.

On Dec. 18, Virginia ABC released their top-selling products for the entirety of 2025. Some old favorites continue to hold the top spots.

People across Virginia purchased $75 million worth of Tito's, which is more than double that of the runner-up in sales.

Six of the top 10 fastest-growing brands were tequila. Don Julio Tequila Reposado made $10 million more than last year, making it the fastest-growing product in sales.

Hennessy VS Cognac had the largest decline in sales compared to last year, with a $6 million decrease. Even though Tito's had the largest sales, it declined by $236,017 -- with reduced sales across most of its sizes.

According to a report from the Virginia ABC, these were the top 10 liquors purchased in 2025:

  3. Jack Daniel's Old No. 7 Tennessee Whiskey ($27.4 million)
  4. Jim Beam Bourbon ($22 million)
  5. Patrón Silver tequila ($20.3 million)
  6. Jameson Irish Whiskey ($20 million)
  7. Maker's Mark Bourbon ($19 million)
  8. Lunazul Blanco Tequila ($18 million)
  9. Grey Goose Vodka ($17.6 million)
  10. Woodford Reserve Bourbon ($17.3 million)
