Woman dies after being shot, another woman ‘significantly injured’ in Chesterfield County
CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A woman was found shot and killed, and another woman was found "significantly injured" after Chesterfield Police received a report of a domestic situation with a weapon Monday evening. At 10:58 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 13, officers with the Chesterfield Police Department responded to the 21100 block of Matoaca Road for the report of a domestic situation with a weapon. When officers arrived, police said they found a woman who had been shot and killed, and another woman who had "significant injuries." Responders arrived and transported the injured woman for treatment. Police said the identity of the victim is being withheld until the family is notified.
