Woman is dead after incident that occurred on Fairfield Avenue

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- A woman has been pronounced dead after reports of a person down that occurred today, April 27, on the 2100 block Fairfield Avenue.

At approximately 2:42 p.m. police received a call of a person down, when officers arrived, they located the woman inside a residence with an injury.

According to police she was transported to a nearby hospital where she later died from her injuries.

The medical examiner will determine the cause of death.
