Woman seriously injured in pedestrian crash in Henrico County

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A female pedestrian was seriously injured after being hit by a vehicle near the Lakeside area of Henrico County.

At 10:37 p.m. on Thursday, May 29, officers with the Henrico County Police Division were called to the intersection of Dumbarton Road and Bentley Street for a reported crash involving a pedestrian.

Upon their arrival, the officers found a woman with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

"The Henrico Police Crash Team is handling the investigation," a spokesperson with the division said in a statement around midnight. "Westbound Dumbarton Road near Bentley Street will be temporarily closed until the investigation is complete."
