Woman’s body found with apparent head trauma in Hopewell

HOPEWELL, Va. (WRIC) -- The Hopewell Police Department is investigating a woman's death after they found her body on the ground Saturday morning.
At 6:44 a.m. on Saturday, May 3, officers with the Hopewell Police Department were called to the 200 block of South 7th Avenue for a report of an unresponsive woman subject lying on the ground.
When officers arrived, they found a woman with apparent head trauma, and she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Her identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
