Youngkin delivers remarks at Dover Food Retail’s ribbon-cutting ceremony

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Governor Glenn Youngkin made an appearance and delivered remarks at Dover Food Retail's ribbon-cutting ceremony in Chesterfield County on Monday, Oct. 20.

The food retail company recently moved its manufacturing of commercial glass refrigerator and freezer doors under its Anthony brand to the Chesterfield location from Sylmar, California.

Youngkin said the expansion to Chesterfield is a $25 million investment in Virginia and will add 300 local jobs, providing ample opportunities for Virginians.

"No matter where someone goes in order to meet their family's needs in the food and retail sector, and no matter which customer Dover Food Retail is serving, they will be touching a product that's made in Virginia," Youngkin said.

This project was secured for Chesterfield with the help of the Virginia Economic Development Partnership, as well as a $900,000 grant approved by Youngkin.
