1.6 magnitude earthquake detected near Wyndham, Short Pump
GOOCHLAND COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Did you feel it? A 1.6 magnitude earthquake was recorded near the border of Goochland County and Henrico County on Wednesday evening.
According to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), the earthquake was located on the Goochland County border, just 1.7 miles southwest of Wyndham and 2 miles northwest of Short Pump.
The earthquake took place at around 7:15 a.m. on Wednesday, April 30, and its depth was recorded to be 5 miles, according to USGS.
