16-year-old boy injured after ‘possibly accidental’ shooting in Richmond’s Southside
RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- A 16-year-old boy is injured after police said a "possibly accidental" shooting occurred in Richmond's Southside Tuesday evening.
At 4:17 p.m. on Tuesday, April 8, officers with the Richmond Police Department responded to the 3500 block of Lawson Street for the report of a person shot.
When officers arrived, they found a 16-year-old boy with an apparent gunshot wound. Officials said the teen was immediately taken by ambulance to a local hospital with a non-life-threatening injury.
Police said detectives are investigating the shooting as possibly being accidental.
