18-year-old charged after allegedly abducting person in Petersburg

PETERSBURG, Va. (WRIC) -- An 18-year-old man was arrested and charged after allegedly abducting a person in Petersburg on Thursday night.
At 9:09 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 21, officers with the Petersburg Bureau of Police were called to the 1800 block of Matoax Avenue for a report of a domestic disturbance.
When officers arrived, they found the unidentified victim and the suspect, who was identified as 18-year-old Kristopher Robinson.
Robinson was charged with abduction by force and assault and battery of a family member, according to police.
Robinson was held at Riverside Regional Jail without bond.
