19-year-old Prince George man arrested after man killed at VSU over the weekend
CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A 19-year-old Prince George man was arrested after a 20-year-old was killed in a shooting on Virginia State University's (VSU) campus over the weekend. Officials said neither of them are VSU students.
On Thursday, Oct. 9, the Chesterfield County Police Department announced the arrest of 19-year-old Jalen Johnson of Prince George County following the deadly shooting at VSU that resulted in one man being shot and killed on campus the evening of Saturday, Oct. 4.
Shortly after 11 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 4, officers with the Chesterfield County Police Department responded to the 20900 block of Third Avenue near the VSU multipurpose Center.
When they arrived, they found a man, identified as 20-year-old Omarion Bryant of Dinwiddie County, with multiple gunshot wounds.
Bryant, who is not a VSU student, died at the scene, according to Chesterfield Police.

Johnson is facing an accessory after the fact of homicide charge, and is currently being held without bond in the Chesterfield County Jail.
The school was placed on lockdown following the incident, according to VSU.
