2 crashes involving multiple vehicles cause significant delays for drivers on I-64 in New Kent
NEW KENT, Va. (WRIC) -- Two crashes involving multiple vehicles in both directions on Interstate 64 caused significant delays in New Kent County. Both crashes were first reported around 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 26, and are located on I-64 near the Courthouse Road exit. According to VDOT, the eastbound crash involved multiple vehicles, including a logging truck. There were five miles of delays at one point. The other crash, westbound, involved multiple vehicles, including a tractor-trailer. There were four miles of backups. Around 7:45 p.m., VDOT reported that lanes had been reopened in both directions.
