2 End the Stigma, CARITAS looking for volunteers for recovery event
COLONIAL HEIGHTS, Va. (WRIC) -- Looking for volunteer opportunities that help out the local community? Two addiction-based Richmond nonprofits are currently seeking volunteers for their upcoming Community Day.
The 4th annual Community Day will take place from noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday, June 29, at Fort Clifton Park in Colonial Heights.
The free event is hosted by 2 End the Stigma and CARITAS, two nonprofit organizations that focus on providing the Richmond area with recovery resources. They are currently seeking volunteers to help set up and assist their teams during the event, as well as break down and clean up after the event.
According to event organizers, the day will be a celebration of recovery while also raising awareness about substance use disorder and resources available in the Richmond area.
