2 people dead after car crashes, flips in Prince George County

PRINCE GEORGE COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Two people are dead after a single-vehicle crash in Prince George County on Tuesday.
The crash took place at about 8:23 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 16, on Route 460 in the 8200 block of County Drive just outside of Disputanta, according to the Prince George County Police Department.
When officers arrived, they found an overturned vehicle. Police said the car was moving west on Route 460 when it veered off the road, hit a tree and then overturned.
There were three people in the car at the time of the crash. Two of them died at the scene. The third was taken to an area hospital with minor injuries.
The department is not releasing the names of the victims at this time, pending positive identification and notification of next of kin.
As of about 3:51 p.m. Tuesday, the Prince George Crash Reconstruction Team is still at the scene investigating the cause and circumstances of this incident.
