22-year-old man charged with murder after man killed in Richmond shooting

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- A 22-year-old man was charged with murder after a 20-year-old man was killed in Richmond in late December.
Just before noon on Sunday, Dec. 21, officers with the Richmond Police Department responded to the 1600 block of Spotsylvania Street after the gunshot detection system reported a gunfire alert.
When officers arrived, they found 20-year-old Dameon Felix, of Richmond, down on the ground with a gunshot wound.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
On Wednesday, Jan. 7, Richmond Police announced that 22-year-old Elijah Hicklin, of Richmond, was charged with murder in connection with the deadly shooting.
