26-year-old motorcyclist dead after hitting utility pole in Richmond

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- The Richmond Police Department (RPD) Crash Team has identified the man killed in a Sunday morning motorcycle crash.
At about 11:16 a.m. on Sunday, March 30, officers were called to the 1200 block of Broad Rock Road Boulevard for reports that a motorcycle had collided with a utility pole.
When officers arrived, they found the motorcyclist, 26-year-old Kevin Hernandez, down and unresponsive. He died at the scene.
The RPD Crash Team has determined that speed was a factor in this crash.
