30-year-old driver charged after Chesterfield apartment building hit, damaged

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A 30-year-old driver has been charged after police received a report of an apartment building and a vehicle that were hit and damaged in Chesterfield County Tuesday evening.

In the evening on Tuesday, Dec. 9, officers with the Chesterfield County Police Department responded to the 3100 block of Tanners Way for a reported hit-and-run.

When officers arrived, they found that a vehicle had hit an apartment building, damaging an apartment on the first floor and the balcony of a second-floor apartment. They also found a vehicle that was damaged.

Police reportedly found the suspect vehicle that had hit the building and damaged vehicle, as well as its driver, nearby.

Police identified the driver as being 30-year-old Nairobi Sprowal.

There were no reported injuries, according to officials.
