39-year-old man found shot, killed in Richmond apartment

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- A 39-year-old man was found shot dead inside an apartment in Richmond around late March.
Just after 2 a.m. on Thursday, March 20, officers with the Richmond Police Department were called to an apartment in the 400 block of East Brookland Park Boulevard for a report of a person shot.
When they arrived, officers found a man inside the apartment with a gunshot wound--he died at the scene.
On Tuesday, April 8, police identified that man as 39-year-old Donte Johnson of Richmond.
Police are investigating Johnson's death as a homicide.
