41-year-old woman dies after she was hit by a vehicle in Chesterfield
CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Chesterfield Police have identified the pedestrian who they said died from her injuries after she was hit by a vehicle late Tuesday night.
At 8:37 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 6, officers with the Chesterfield County Police Department responded to the 7300 block of Route 1.
Officers said they determined that a vehicle was traveling south on Route 1 when it hit a pedestrian, now identified as 41-year-old Carri Underwood, of the 3800 block of Midlothian Turnpike.
Underwood was transported to a local hospital, where she later died as a result of her injuries, per police.

The driver of the vehicle remained on scene and is cooperating with police.
