42-year-old identified as Richmond woman who died after being found shot in vehicle

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- A 42-year-old has been identified as a Richmond woman who died after being found shot in a vehicle over the weekend.

According to the Richmond Police Department, officers were called to the 600 block of Westover Hills Boulevard on Sunday, May 4, at 8:07 p.m. for the report of a person shot.

Once at the scene, officers found a woman who has now been identified as 42-year-old Ebony Allen, of Richmond, inside a vehicle with a gunshot wound.

Police said she was taken to a local hospital where she died as a result of her injuries.
