43-year-old man sentenced to more than 100 years in prison for child exploitation in Fluvanna

FLUVANNA COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A 43-year-old man has been sentenced to more than 100 years in prison for child exploitation in Fluvanna County.
On Friday, July 11, 43-year-old Adam C. Knight was sentenced to 107 years and three months, with 15 years and three months to be served actively in the custody of the Virginia Department of Corrections (VDOC).
Knight previously pleaded guilty to multiple felony charges three months prior on April 18.
As of Friday, Knight faces ten charges, including:
- One count of use of a communications system to facilitate certain offenses involving children
- Five counts of possession of child pornography
- Two counts of distribution of child pornography
- Two counts of sexual abuse of animals
In February 2023, the Fluvanna County Sheriff's Office executed a search warrant at a Palmyra home after receiving a report from the Tampa Police Department about potential exploitation and solicitation of children by a Fluvanna resident earlier that month.
During the search, they found multiple electronic devices, such as phones, tablets, and external storage devices, containing evidence.
Knight was arrested at the scene and was initially charged with two counts of possession of child pornography, two counts of distribution of child pornography and one count of solicitation of a child.
He was held without bound and has remained in custody at the Central Virginia Regional Jail.
