5 people stole from a Henrico vape shop using a stolen car
HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Five people stole from a Henrico County vape shop using a stolen car early Friday morning, prompting a police investigation.
At 3:06 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 26, officers with the Henrico County Police Division responded to a Tobacco Hut within the 8400 block of West Broad Street for a report of a commercial breaking and entering.
When officers arrived, they found the front entrance of the store damaged.
Investigators later determined a stolen Hyundai Elantra was used to back into the front entrance.
Five people in the car reportedly entered the store and took various items before leaving the scene.
Detectives continue to investigate. No further information is available as of the time of reporting.
This comes more than a week after county officials approved an ordinance to restrict the spread of unregulated vape shops.
