58-year-old found dead in wooded area near Staples Mill Road
HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A 58-year-old man was found dead in a wooded area off of Staples Mill Road last Thursday, and Henrico Police is currently investigating the incident as a homicide. According to police, officers responded to the 9100 block of Staples Mill Road at around 3:33 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 24 for a reported death. Once officers were on scene they found an adult man in a wooded area that police said was "obviously deceased." The victim has been identified by detectives as 58-year-old Cecil Lee Ryan. The preliminary investigation has shown that Ryan was homeless and living in the woods of the area he was found, according to police.
