7 displaced after kitchen fire in Chesterfield
CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Five adults and two children have been displaced due to a kitchen fire that took place in a Chesterfield home on Saturday. According to Chesterfield Fire & EMS, crews responded to reports of a house fire at 1:46 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 23 in the 6500 block of North Stevens Hollow Drive. A fire was found in the kitchen by the first firefighters that arrived on the scene, and it was marked under control within 20 minutes. Seven people will be displaced due to the fire -- five adults and two children -- and are being assisted by the Red Cross. One person was transported to a local hospital with burns that were considered non-life-threatening. Chesterfield Fire & EMS currently believes the fire is cooking related.
