7 people hurt after crash causes log truck, van to flip on Midlothian Turnpike in Chesterfield
CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Seven people were taken to the hospital after a van and log truck flipped multiple times on Midlothian Turnpike on Wednesday.
At around 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 2, the Virginia Department of Transportation reported that all westbound lanes were closed on Midlothian Turnpike near Huguenot Springs Road due to a multi-vehicle crash.
8News spoke with the Chesterfield County Police Department, who said the crash involved a van and a log truck. As a result of the crash, both vehicles overturned multiple times.

All occupants of both vehicles -- that being five people in the van and two people in the log truck -- were injured in the crash. According to police, they were taken to area hospitals with injuries not considered life-threatening.
No additional information -- such as the circumstances of the crash or any specifics on who was hurt as a result of it -- is available as of the time of reporting.
Though the roadway was closed down for several hours following the crash, police told 8News that it has since reopened.
