8News gets sneak peek of Model Railroad Show coming to Richmond
RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- 8News got a visit from a special guest on Tuesday to share a glimpse into the Model Railroad Show coming to Richmond this weekend.
8News anchors Autumn Childress and Delaney Hall were joined by Timshel Purdum, Virginia C. Ellett Deputy Director for Education at the Science Museum of Virginia, to talk about what people can expect.
"We have nine model railroad displays that are getting set up as we speak, we have a blacksmith, and we have a brand new demonstration about trains," Purdum said.
Purdum brought along a piece of the new demonstration to show the hosts, which demonstrated the importance of magnets and electricity as they talked about the future of trains.
People can head to the Science Museum of Virginia from Nov. 28 through Nov. 30 to check out the show. For more information and to purchase tickets, click here.
