8News’ own Delaney Hall welcomes baby boy into the world

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Our 8News family got a little bigger on Tuesday as anchor Delaney Hall and her husband, John, welcomed their first child into the world.

Baby Jack was born on Tuesday, Jan. 20, at 7 pounds 6 ounces of "pure perfection."

"Baby and mama are doing well and Delaney and John are so in love with their little man," the Halls said.

Jack is not only the Halls' first baby, but he is the first grandchild on either side of their family.

Delaney, best known for anchoring Good Morning Richmond and hosting Great 8 Events on WRIC+ Originals, first announced her pregnancy in late July 2025.
