8News tries hip-hop hula hooping for the first time
RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — 8News got a visit from two special guests on Friday to learn about having fun while exercising.
8News anchors Autumn Childress and Madison Moore tried hula hooping on Friday, Feb. 27, with instructor Jennifer Bridy from HipHop Hula Hoop with Jenn. Bridy typically collaborates with Kinky Cardio for one-hour classes at Urban Line Dance History Museum, combining hula hooping and cardio and stretching.
"We do cardio, we stretch with the hula hoops, line dance with the hula hoops and squat with the hula hoops," Bridy said.
The hoops can weigh anywhere between three and five pounds, Bridy noted. For more information, visit Kinky Cardio.
