A-10 Women’s Basketball Championship returns to Henrico Sports & Events Center

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) —The Henrico Sports & Events Center will once again host the Atlantic 10 Conference and see the crowning of its women's basketball champion for the third year in a row.

The A-10 Women's Basketball Championship will return to the Henrico venue from March 4 through March 8, featuring the conference's 14 schools. The five-day tournament will hold a total of 13 games.

USA Network will broadcast the quarterfinals on Friday, March 6, and CBS Sports Network will broadcast the semifinals on Saturday, March 7. Sunday's championship game on March 8 will be on ESPN.

The Richmond Spiders currently rank third at 14-3 per conference standings, behind No. 1 Rhode Island Rams and George Mason Patriots. The A-10 champion will automatically qualify for the NCAA Division I championships tournament. The national semifinals and championship game will be in April.

Henrico Sports & Events Center has held the A-10 championship each year since 2024. The tradition will continue through 2029 after A-10 extended its partnership with the venue and Richmond Region Tourism in May 2025.

The tournament last year brought in about $2.9 million in economic impact for Henrico County and the metro area, per a release. Ticket information is available on the Henrico Sports & Entertainment Authority website.
