Additional Pride Month events coming to Richmond in June
RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Pride Month is here, bringing a variety of colorful celebrations to Richmond residents and visitors. In addition to Richmond's Endless Summer of Pride events, here are more festivities to enjoy throughout June.
Dance Party -- June 6
Virginia Museum of Fine Arts Sculpture Garden
At 6 p.m. on Friday, June 6, Richmond area residents and visitors can celebrate both Pride Month and African American Music Appreciation Month with a free dance party at the Virginia Museum of Fine Art's Sculpture Garden.

The Queer Weekend -- June 7 and June 8

From noon to 6 p.m. on both Saturday, June 7, and Sunday, June 8, at Basic City Beer Co. and Legend Brewing -- next-door breweries in the Manchester neighborhood of Richmond's Southside -- folks can celebrate pride with over 70 makers, small LGBTQ+ owned businesses, non-profits, community groups and more.
According to organizers, the weekend will encompass interactive experiences and entertainment. Attendees can enjoy live music, DJs, a drag show, food trucks and "queer beer."

Pride LitCon -- June 14
From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 14, LGBTQ+ readers and bookish allies can meet LGBTQ+ authors at Pride Litcon at the ACCA Shriner's Center, located at 1712 Bellevue Avenue in Richmond.
Folks can meet authors, get books signed, buy books and more. General admission tickets are $25, and the event is for folks ages 18 and up. For more information, visit the event's website.
Carytown Pride Market -- June 22

From noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday, June 22, folks can celebrate pride in Carytown at a market held by TransJamRVA, an organization that brings visibility to queer, trans artists and makers while supporting local trans mutual aid.
Vendors at the market include Dayum Jam RVA, Fragment, ATW Firearms Instruction, Eddie Rose Coffee, Twisted Lemon Bev Co., Petty's Pastries and more.
In addition to perusing goodies from vendors, folks can listen to tunes and blow bubbles with friends.
LGBTQ+ Job and Career Fair -- June 24

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, June 24 at Diversity Thrift, folks can network with equality-minded employers looking to connect with LGBTQ+ job seekers.
Attendees can also meet with career counselors for a resume review, receive a free headshot to update your LinkedIn profile and grab a voucher (amount limited) for complimentary wardrobe from Diversity Thrift.

Pride Month Market -- June 28
From noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday, June 28, at Benchtop Brewing, located at 434 Hull Street in Richmond's Southside, attendees can shop from a variety of local artists and makers.
