After brush fire, Prince George Fire reminds residents of burn ban
PRINCE GEORGE COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Prince George County Fire and EMS responded to a brush fire Uhrich Lane on Sunday afternoon.
Right before 1 p.m. on Sunday, March 2, fire crews were called to the 11300 block of Uhrich Lane for a report of a brush fire.
When the first fire crew arrived, they discovered a large and rapid-moving fire spreading through the brush.
According to the fire department, there were multiple brush trucks and tankers that responded to help contain the fire and stop it from touching nearby homes and buildings.

Fire crews quickly brought the fire under control and there were no reported injuries.
The fire department would like to remind residents that the state of Virginia is under a burn ban, which is in effect from Feb. 15 through April. 30. Outdoor burning is forbidden before 4 p.m. -- within 300 feet of woodland, brushland or fields.
