ALEXANDRIA, Va. (WRIC) -- An Alexandria man and previously convicted child predator will spend over two decades in prison for both sharing and possessing child sexual abuse material (CSAM), including images of toddlers being abused.
On Tuesday, Feb. 3, 41-year-old Antonio Rudy Gonzalez of Alexandria was sentenced to 22 years in prison on two counts of distribution of CSAM and one count of possession of CSAM, according to a press release from the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ).
These child sex crimes reportedly took place in April 2024 on the mobile messaging platform Kik, where his username "identified himself as someone who loved little girls," per the DOJ.
"Gonzalez requested and distributed images of children, including toddlers, engaged in sexually explicit conduct to multiple other Kik users," the DOJ said. "In his messages, Gonzalez indicated that he was 'only into kids.'"

This all took place while Gonzalez was on supervised release for a previous CSAM-related conviction from 2013.
"His then Kik username [in 2013] was nearly identical to the one used in 2024, and he advertised himself as being interested in 'little girls, rape, incest, teens,'" the DOJ said.
Gonzalez was found guilty of the charges relating to his April 2024 conduct during a September 2025 bench trial. Due to his prior conviction, he was subject to a mandatory minimum sentence of 15 years, which his actual 22-year sentence both meets and exceeds.
Upon his release from prison, Gonzalez will be under lifetime supervision, according to the DOJ.
