All roads open after flooding in Prince George County

PRINCE GEORGE COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- All roads have reopened in Prince George County after severe flooding and heavy rainfall hit Central Virginia.

In the morning of Thursday, July 17, the county's police department announced that all roadways are now open, including Baxter Road, after flooding spots remained in the county due to the rainfall, according to a social post from the county's police department.

With roads reopening to the public, the county said there will be no more detours as of the time of reporting.

This comes after significant rainfall and severe flooding on Monday and Tuesday, with heavy downpours hitting areas like PetersburgPrince George County and Prince Edward County particularly hard on Monday, July 14.
