All White Southern Soul Musical Festival returns to Richmond’s Altria Theater in July
RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- The Fifth Annual All White Southern Soul Music Festival is returning to Richmond's Altria Theater in July, featuring a variety of music artists.
The festival will be held at 7 p.m. on Saturday, July 12, at the Altria Theater, featuring King George, Frank Johnson, 803 Fresh, Chameka Jonquelle, Mr. Campbell, Fat Daddy and comedian Antoine Scott. Doors open at 6 p.m.
"Originating from a combination of blues, country, and early rock and roll, and with a strong gospel influence, Southern Soul was popular in the 1960s and 1970s but has continued to be enjoyed into the present," the theater said.

According to organizers, tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 18.
