Ashland Dance Academy travels back in time with “Time Warp” performance
ASHLAND, Va. (WRIC) -- The Ashland Dance Academy busted a move by the Richard S. Gillis Jr. Public Library as they brought back the their annual "Time Warp" flash mob performance.
The performance was held on Friday, Oct. 31, where locals where seen dressed up in outfits from different decades and danced to the same tune.

Prep for the began in September where dancers came together for weekly rehearsals where they learned choreography for to "Time Warp" from "The Rocky Horror Picture Show," and performed three performances for surrounding onlookers at different downtown locations.
"This tradition is one of our favorite ways to connect with our amazing community," said director of Ashland Dance Academy, Colette Maranda. "Seeing our community come together to dance, smile, and celebrate makes all the preparation worthwhile."
The annual flash mob has become a tradition for the Ashland community and serves as "a joyful reminder of the town’s creative energy and close-knit community."
