Babes of Carytown participates in actor Liv Hewson, docuseries’ merch campaign

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- One of Richmond's beloved LGBT bars, Babes of Carytown, is a participating bar as part of a T-shirt design collaboration between The Lesbian Bar Project docuseries team's Ask Me About My Local Lesbian Bar campaign and actor Liv Hewson.

Hewson is an Australian actor featured in the Netflix series "Santa Clarita Diet" and "Yellowjackets," the film "Under My Skin" and the horror short film "The Hitchhiker," among others.

Hewson is collaborating with The Lesbian Bar Project, a docuseries that celebrates the remaining lesbian queer bars throughout the world for a T-shirt design as part of the campaign, with Babes of Carytown, Richmond's oldest LGBTQ establishment and bar, listed as one of the participating bars.

The design features Hewson's handwriting and their signature on the back. Twenty percent of the proceeds from the campaign will be donated to 37 participating U.S. and Australian lesbian bars, with a full list of the bars on the project's website.

The campaign also includes the re-release of another design.
