BermudAir launch nonstop flights between RIC and Bermuda
RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Bermuda travel is back in Richmond, as BermudAir officially launches nonstop service between Richmond International Airport (RIC) and Bermuda's LF. Wade International Airport (BDA).
According to a release from RIC, BermudAir's service to BDA in Bermuda will return for the first time in more than a decade, operating twice weekly on Wednesdays and Saturdays BermudAir’s Embraer aircraft.
“Today marks an exciting new chapter for Richmond International Airport with the launch of nonstop international service to Bermuda,” said Perry J. Miller, Ph.D., A.A.E., I.A.P., president and CEO of the Capital Region Airport Commission. “We are proud to partner with BermudAir to offer a seamless, twohour connection between Virginia’s Capital Region and one of the world’s most stunning island destinations. This new route not only enhances travel options for our community, but also strengthens tourism ties, opens the door for business and cultural exchange, and supports broader economic development efforts across the Richmond region.”
BermudAir offers a "comfortable and efficient way to experience Bermuda’s legendary pink sand beaches, world-class golf courses, and vibrant culture," according to RIC.
RIC says the flights aim to provide a premium experience that showcases Bermuda's warmth and hospitality.
“This new Richmond route is a meaningful addition to BermudAir’s growing network,” said Adam Scott, founder and CEO of BermudAir. “Richmond’s blend of history, innovation, and Southern charm makes it an ideal match for Bermuda. We’re proud to connect these two vibrant communities and provide travelers with a unique link between coastal beauty and capital city culture.”
