Bicyclist dead after Henrico train crash near Hungary Road
HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Henrico Police and CSX Police are investigating a deadly crash involving a train and a bicyclist that happened near Hungary Road on Sunday afternoon. According to Henrico Police, officers and Henrico Fire both responded at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 24 to a crash involving a bicyclist and a train that took place on the train crossing near the intersection of Hungary Road and Oakview Avenue. The man that was bicycling was found dead by crews upon their arrival. Henrico Police are working with CSX Police currently to conduct an investigation regarding the cause of the crash. Hungary Road between Old Springfield Road and Purcell Road will be closed during the investigation and members of the public are being asked to use alternate routes like Mountain Road to avoid the area.
