Boat operator injured after jet ski flipped, hit wave in Prince George
PRINCE GEORGE COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A boat operator was injured after his jet ski flipped and hit a wave in Prince George County on Saturday afternoon.
According to the Prince George County Police Department, the incident occurred at about 1:05 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 6, at 101 Jordan Point Road.
Officials said a personal watercraft operator was injured after police said his jet ski flipped and soon hit a wave. He was reportedly thrown off the jet ski.
He was rescued by a citizen and taken to a hospital with minor injuries by Hopewell Fire and EMS, according to police.
The Department of Wildlife Resources (DWR) is still investigating the incident.
