Boil water advisory lifted for Caroline’s Land’Or Community
CAROLINE COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — The boil water advisory for the Land'Or Community in Caroline County has been lifted on Tuesday afternoon, according to Aqua Virginia.
Aqua Virginia officials announced the boil water advisory was lifted as of 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 2, for the Land'Or Community of the county.
Officials said Aqua Virginia flushed targeted areas of the distribution system in the community, with flushing taking place between 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 1, to Wednesday, Dec. 3.
Aqua does not anticipate customers outside of the Land'Or Community seeing the effects of the flushing operations, as the entire distribution system will not be flushed, per officials.
Customers may experience changes in water pressure or temporary discoloration, they said.
Aqua recommends that customers remove and clean the aerators on their faucets and flush their water line by running the outside spigot for a few minutes to help purge any sediment before it enters their household plumbing.
