Brunswick County Public Schools to be closed Thursday due to weather, flood watch

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Brunswick County Public Schools will be closed for students on Thursday due to weather conditions, according to the school district.
In the evening on Wednesday, Aug. 6, Brunswick County Public Schools announced that it will be closed for students on Thursday, Aug. 7, due to "current road conditions and the forecasted flood watch."
According to the school district, all employees will work virtually.
"We will continue to monitor the weather conditions. Stay safe and stay tuned for updates," the school district said in a Facebook post.
