Buzz your way to Chesterfield Bee Festival
CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Time to buzz your way to the Chesterfield Bee Festival this fall, allowing attendees to learn more about how bees fit into the ecosystem.
The family-friendly event will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sept. 27, at the Chesterfield County Fairgrounds, and will be filled with excitement, education and hands-on,
Sponsored by Rockwood Park Beekeepers Association (RPBBA), the festival will include exhibits and demonstrations related to bees to show how important they are to the ecosystem. There will also be live bee demonstrations, honey and bee products and learn about pollination from local experts, according to a release from the association.
The Chesterfield Bee Festival is also set to include a Bumble Bee Jamboree Kids Area, hosted by Virginia Master Gardeners, giving children more opportunities to learn more about bees, gardening and pollination with hands-on activities.
"Festivalgoers will enjoy delicious food vendors, a goat petting zoo, live music, and informative Buzz Talks on various bee-related topics," the association said in the release. "Whether you're a bee enthusiast or new to the world of pollinators, there's something for everyone!
