Chesterfield County hosts 6th annual Veterans Day motorcycle rally

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Get ready to ride, Chesterfield, as a police-escorted motorcycle ride gears up for its sixth annual Veterans Day motorcycle rally.

The rally will honor veterans prior to the holiday on Sunday, Nov. 9 from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. The ride will start at the Chesterfield County Fairgrounds, then at 1 p.m., participants will travel from the fairgrounds to the Virginia War Memorial in Richmond.

According to Chesterfield County, the ride will be supported by a full escort from the Chesterfield County Police Department and the Richmond Police Department.

Check-in will start at 10:30 a.m., followed by lunch from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and conclude with a ceremony to honor veterans at the Virginia War Memorial.

To participate, you must register online -- all registered attendees will receive an event t-shirt.
