Chesterfield diner closes due to family, health issues
CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A Chesterfield County diner has closed its doors due to personal family concerns, according to the diner.
In a social post made on Friday, March 27, an owner at the Diner at Cross Pointe, a coffee shop with a coal-mining theme for espresso drinks and desserts located at 8245 Hull Street Road, announced the closure due to family and health issues.
The owner cited Paul's health and their family as their first priority with plans for "an intense treatment plan getting ready to begin."
"It is going to be difficult for me to handle everything on my own," the owner wrote in the post.
The diner, which closed starting Tuesday, March 24, due to a "family matter," said it has been a pleasure to serve everyone since 2017, and "appreciate the friendships and 'family' we have made over the years."
Owners previously indicated they would "post updates as soon as possible" and have faced challenges regarding their landlord.
