Chesterfield firefighters rescue kitten stuck to thorn bushes, trapped in patch of tall weeds
CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Chesterfield firefighters rescued a kitten that was stuck to thorn bushes and trapped in a patch of tall weeds Tuesday evening.
In the evening on Tuesday, May 27, firefighters with Chesterfield County Fire and EMS were getting ready to leave after responding to a call when they heard a small kitten meowing.
Officials said the firefighters were able to track down the kitten and found that it was wet and stuck to thorn bushes, trapped in a patch of tall weeds.
The firefighters freed the kitten, took him back to a fire station and cleaned him until Chesterfield County Animal Services could respond.

Chesterfield County Animal Services then picked up the kitten after hours and took him to the veterinarian to be checked out. The kitten is being treated for an upper respiratory infection but is healing up.
